Rive della Chiesa · Three generations, one philosophy

Rive della Chiesa · Drei Generationen, eine Haltung

Uncompromising Prosecco from the steep slopes of the Colli Asolani.

In a segment characterized more than almost any other by industrial mass production and global volumes, selecting an authentic Prosecco for the MaWa portfolio was a curatorial challenge. The stated goal was to find a family-run counter-model to the mass market. The answer revealed itself in Selva del Montello: with the Gasparetto family—a producer that unites sincere family warmth with unconditional oenological rigor.

“Le cose van fatte bene, sennò tanto vale non farle. – Things are either done right, or not at all.” (Nino Gasparetto)

The Return to the Steep Slopes

The story of Rive della Chiesa is a story of returning to one’s roots. In 1963, Nino (Giosuè) and his wife Irma returned from Australia to their Italian homeland. Their goal: to revitalize the vineyard planted by Nino's father on the challenging steep slopes—the so-called “Rive”—of Selva del Montello. Nino's motto of uncompromising work continues to define the family estate to this day and forms the foundation for the extraordinary grape quality produced by this historic terroir.

Oenological Precision in a UNESCO World Heritage Site

The estate made the decisive qualitative leap into the modern era starting in 1992. Sons Michele—a trained oenologist from the renowned wine school in Conegliano—and Luigi took over the leadership. They consistently switched to estate bottling and played a key role in establishing the top denomination Asolo Prosecco as an international benchmark. Today, with the active involvement of the third generation, Rive della Chiesa stands more than ever for deep roots within the UNESCO World Heritage landscape of the Asolan hills.

Structured Freshness Instead of Pleasing Sweetness

In the cellar, the family translates the potential of the steep slopes into precise sparkling wine production. Instead of the often-flat appeal of industrial mass-market goods, Rive della Chiesa presents a Prosecco of structured freshness, delicate perlage, and clear mineral depth. It is proof that when Prosecco is approached as a genuine craft product, it belongs to the absolute top tier of Italian sparkling wines.

Florì 0.0 · Spirit of the Times Without Compromise

Rive della Chiesa proves that historical craftsmanship and modern drinking culture are not mutually exclusive with the Florì 0.0. In response to the steadily growing demand for high-quality, non-alcoholic alternatives, the family created an aperitivo that captures the carefree Italian lifestyle without compromise—completely alcohol-free. Light, fresh, and with the full aromatic substance of a true Italian aperitivo, Florì 0.0 is aimed at connoisseurs who want to forgo alcohol, but not elegance and taste.

Secure a quota from the Rive della Chiesa allocation—as a classic aperitif, as a high-quality non-alcoholic alternative (Florì 0.0) for upscale gastronomy, or as an excellent gift.
