The inclusion of Tenuta Corbari in the MaWa selection is the direct result of a closely-knit producer network that has grown over many years. Where Lake Garda is often dominated by large-scale mass production, MaWa sought the exact opposite: a producer that captures the authentic terroir of the region in the bottle with artisanal honesty and without oenological embellishment.

The symbiosis of experience and renewal

The history of Tenuta Corbari is characterized by organic, patient growth. When 21-year-old Roberto laid the foundation in 1990 with just two hectares of vineyards on the moraine hills of Desenzano del Garda, he began a life's work that he and his wife Elena expanded step by step. The estate made the decisive qualitative leap into modernity from 2017 onwards with the arrival of their daughter Giorgia and later her husband Mattia: a rare, perfect symbiosis of decades of artisanal intuition in the vineyard and contemporary, stringent cellar discipline.

Strict limitation and pure manual labor

Today, the family cultivates 20 hectares of vineyards – and yet consistently refuses any industrial growth. All grapes are harvested exclusively by hand. At the center of this boutique production is a renowned Lugana DOC made from 100% Turbiana, whose annual production is limited to an extremely rare 7,000 bottles. This is flanked by characterful terroir wines such as the Merlot “Custode” from historic vineyards in Solferino, as well as the hand-harvested Olio Extravergine “Incontro”.
